Specialising in Australian History, in particular World War 1, Julie has led many commemorative school tours to Europe, exploring World War 1 & 2 battlefields, cemeteries and memorials of Singapore, London, the Salisbury Plains (UK),France and Belgium. Julie's ongoing project Connecting Spirits resulted in Julie being awarded a Community Individual award for the Hills and Coastal region by Advantage SA.
In addition to the annual Connecting Spirits Community Tour, Julie Reece Tours is excited to announce a new venture for travelers looking for something unique; the opportunity to stay with your friends and or family in a gorgeous Tuscan villa surrounded by the rolling hills and vistas that one associates with the Tuscan countryside. No organised group tours with strangers and inflexible itineraries, but the chance to immerse yourself in the countryside far from the bustle and crush of the major tourist sites. Connecting Spirits Community Tours
The Connecting Spirits project has evolved into a community project where family groups, organisations and individuals who are interested in the commemoration of our war dead, participate in the new Connecting Spirits Community Tour.
If you are a member of a community group or organisation and are interested in finding out more about the 2019 or 2020 Connecting Spirits Community Tours, please contact Julie Reece to register your interest.
The 2019 tour will run during the April school holidays departing Tuesday April 9th in the last week of term one and returning Saturday 27 April in time for the start of term 2.
Anzac Day will be commemorated in the UK at Sutton Veny on the Salisbury Plains.
